USE OF BEARINGS

Preparation before installation

Rolling bearings are precision parts. To maintain their accuracy, they must be used carefully and carefully. Maintaining the cleanliness of the bearing, avoiding strong impact and preventing rust are all matters that need special attention when using the bearing.

1. Please do not open the package when it is not in use, nor place it after opening the package.
2. Keep the environment clean.
3. Use the specified tools and fixtures for assembly, and keep the fixtures clean.
4. Do not use cloth that will produce cloth scraps, nor use dirty cloth.
5. Assemble only after cleaning the surrounding parts.
6. Do not touch the bearing directly by hand.
7. Don’t apply shock and high load to the bearing.

Preparation before use

When the bearing is installed in the shaft or housing (seat), if there are foreign objects such as burrs and dust on the assembly surface, the bearing cannot perform correctly, and abnormal vibration and noise may occur during operation.

According to statistics, about 18% of bearing failures are caused by incorrect installation methods. When the bearing is installed into the shaft or bearing seat, do not strike it directly with a hammer. Please see the following diagram:

Precautions when installing deep groove ball bearings

1. Avoid strong impact

Since the contact surface between the bearing raceway surface and the rolling elements is similar to point contact, excessive impact will cause indentation on the contact surface, which must be avoided due to knocking or falling.

2. Avoid dust entering the bearing

If the inside of the bearing is invaded by dust during use, it will cause damage to the raceway surface and the surface of the rolling element, resulting in abnormal noise and poor rotation of the bearing.

Bearing storage

The bearings are coated with anti-rust oil before leaving the factory. When storing bearings, the following points should be observed:

1. In an ideal state, the bearing should be stored in a low temperature environment, that is, the relative humidity is below 60%.

2. The bearing should not be stored directly on the ground, but should be placed on a cargo or pallet at least 20cm above the ground.

3. The boxes containing the bearings should not be stacked too high, otherwise the rust inhibitor may be squeezed out from the bottom of the bearing.
